Mrs. Nora Coalson School Nurse
|
Nora Coalson has a BS in Education from the University of Alabama and
a BS in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. Her 30+ year nursing
career has included hospital based work in surgical pediatrics,
neonatal intensive care, medical-surgical adult, and infection
control coordinator for a 400+ bed hospital. She spent 17 years
working with a nationally recognized psychiatrist in Houston.
In addition to monitoring medications, patient teaching, and
managing several clinical drug trials, she was responsible for
training new nurses hired into the practice. After moving to
Arlington with her husband two years ago, she took a position as
a school nurse in two elementary schools in Fort Worth ISD.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Mrs. Coalson has lived in Texas
for over 25 years. She has 2 sons and a step son and step daughter.
All are grown, and as yet there are no grandchildren. In her spare
time Mrs. Coalson enjoys reading, movies, and writing. One of her
essays has been published in the magazine section of The Houston
Chronicle. She is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church,
where she serves as a Eucharistic minister. Mrs. Coalson joined
the staff at Holy Rosary in August of 2007.
