Mr. Lynn Day Principal
|
Mr. Day graduated from college with honors and a degree in elementary education.
Shortly after this he entered the U.S. Army where he served as an officer in worldwide
assignments of increasing responsibility. His final assignment was as the Deputy
Director for Plans, Policy, and Strategy for the U.S Southern Command at Quarry Heights,
Panama where he was promoted to the rank of Colonel. Along the way, he never lost his
love of education nor his desire to return to teaching. While in the Army, he had several
teaching assignments and earned his Masters Degree in Education from Boston University.
Upon retirement, he moved to Arlington and secured a teaching position at Our Mother of Mercy
Catholic School in Fort Worth where he taught 5th through 8th grades. He then transferred
to South Arlington Catholic School, now called Holy Rosary Catholic School, where he taught
5th grade for one year before being hired as the Principal in July 1999. He subsequently
received his Principal’s certification from the University of Dallas in 2000. Lynn is married,
the father of four children, and the grandfather of three.
