Mr. Julio Suarez
Art Teacher

Julio Suarez is a visual artist and art educator since 1990. He specializes in teaching children and youth (ages 4-18) in diverse educational settings. Julio is the director of KID ART, a year-round children's art program which he founded in 1991, and offers classes in drawing, cartooning, painting and printmaking. As an Artist-in-Residence with the national arts organization Young Audiences, Inc., he works with elementary and middle school children in creative residencies and master classes in drawing, cartooning, and watercolors. He has developed and implemented cultural art programs for Latino-American projects and the Cuban-born artist is bilingual, having been raised with Spanish as his native tongue. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University and has studied post-graduate courses in genetics, medicine and fine art.
