Mrs. Shelly Manriquez Upper Elementary Science Teacher
|
A native Texan and 1987 graduate of Baylor University, Shelly Manriquez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with teaching fields in math and English/Language Arts. She also has completed more than 15 undergraduate/graduate hours in science.
Mrs. Manriquez began her teaching career at Nimitz High School in the fall of 1987 and continued in Irving public schools for three years. She and her husband, Robert, moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama in 1990 where Mrs. Manriquez taught 7th - 8th grade science and English at St. Joseph Catholic School. Upon returning to Texas in 1993, she continued her teaching career at St. Maria Goretti Catholic School where she taught 6th - 8th grade science and math.
After being blessed with the opportunity to take time off and be at home with her three children, she is thrilled to be teaching at Holy Rosary.
Her outside interests include hiking at River Legacy Park with her kids, reading, traveling, learning new things, and collecting all kinds of critters.
