  Curriculum

The curriculum of Holy Rosary Catholic School includes Religion and all subjects required by the State of Texas and Texas Catholic Conference. Instruction is in accordance with the Curriculum Guides and Mastery Checklists provided by the Diocese of Forth Worth.

Academics

  • Pre-K Holy Rosary Catholic School offers a 4-year old program that is developmental.


  • Kindergarten Kindergarten follows a structured program emphasizing religious development, social structure and beginning development in language arts, math, science and social studies.


  • Primary/Intermediate grades(Grades 1-8) Religion, math, language arts (reading, English, writing, phonics, vocabulary and spelling), science and social studies are taught generally in self-contained classrooms through grade 5. Classes in grades 6-8 will be taught in a departmentalized manner. The atmosphere at Holy Rosary Catholic School is characterized by deep respect for spiritual values, cultural diversity and a search for knowledge.

Enrichment

  • Library/Media Center   Holy Rosary Catholic School has a state-of-the-art library and media center.
  • Computer Lab   Our computer lab has 24 computers with internet access with a "Smart Board" as a teaching aid.
  • Spanish   Spanish is taught to Kindergarten through 8th grade.
  • Music/Fine Arts   Music is taught to Pre-K through 5th grade with Theatre being taught to the upper school. Hightlights of the Music/Fine Arts department include: Talent Show, Christmas Program (2nd/3rd grade), PSIA One-Act Play competition (Upper School Grades).
  • Bass Hall Field Trips   1st through 8th grades attend an age appropriate arts enrichment field trip to Bass Hall each year.
